About the project
Project objectives
Objectives for this project include the following:
- Vehicle & environment development: Upgrade an Enviro 200EV to a NUIC demonstrator to show technical capability of autonomous driving of bus models.
- Operational requirements capture: Undertake workshops to define standard operational requirements for deployment of technology in space-constrained areas.
- Safety case: Develop a summary safety case for public dissemination including outcomes of engagement with vehicle insurance bodies.
- Test days: Host demo event to show how the technology could be implemented with a direct comparison of emissions Diesel vs. Electric bus models.
