Zenzic was created by government and industry to champion the UK Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) ecosystem. The ultimate goal is to position the UK as a global showcase for world-leading CAM services, driving export demand and reinforcing the domestic supply chain.
The UK CAM industry is set to be worth £66 billion to the UK economy by 2040. The market opportunity was set out in the 2024 report of KPMG analysis for SMMT and Automotive Council, funded by Innovate UK.
Through the Modern Industrial Strategy and its 2025 Advanced Manufacturing Sector Plan, UK Government has identified Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) as one of the frontier industries through which the UK will drive economic growth, improve productivity and create high-value jobs. Key to this industry commitment is the £150 million CAM Pathfinder programme, designed to lay the foundations for an early commercial CAM market in the UK.
Zenzic exists to bring together industry, government and academia to support the strategic rollout of CAM technologies in the UK. By aligning activity across these communities, Zenzic helps to create alignment, build shared understanding and ensure that progress in CAM contributes to national priorities.
