About the group
To foster collaboration between the Civil Aviation and Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) industries, to understand and realise how CAM technologies might positively impact the Civil Aviation industry in the UK and beyond.
The Airside Automation Group are interested in aligning CAM deployments with airside regulation, and operator objectives.
The group uses this alignment to inform solutions proposed to the market, and ensure that the impact of public and private funded activity is maximised, to create maximum leverage from CAM solutions deployed on the airside, within the fence.
The group focusses on four key opportunity areas:
Automated Baggage Tractors
Cargo Handling Automation
Expedited Baggage Shuttles
Crew Transport Automation
The group membership comprises of a mix of CAM technology developers, regulators, logistics operators and senior airport staff, all with deep understanding and interest in the application of technology in the civil aviation space.
