We are pleased to announce a new funding competition – connected and automated vehicle cyber security feasibility studies to determine input specifications for CAM cyber test facilities. The competition is now officially open, as of 12 August 2019.
We have been working closely with The Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) and Innovate UK to deliver a £2m competition for connected and self-driving vehicle cyber security feasibility studies and to ensure the scope has a specific focus on industry’s requirements to develop long-term products and services. Zenzic will collate outputs and create a consolidated requirements set for CCAV to determine scope for a future testing and development infrastructure competition – currently proposed to be launched in 2020. The maximum grant available for each project will be £400k, with a 4% levy payable by industry partners to Zenzic.
Proposals must fulfill three requirements:
1. Determine means for measuring cyber physical resilience and guide approaches for assuring and maintaining cyber security for vehicles, roadside infrastructure, supporting services, etc.
2. Provide input specifications for one or more new cyber test facilities
3. Explore opportunities to develop new cyber-related services
Successful applicants will become a Zenzic partner and will benefit from:
- Support in the formation of consortiums
- Access to relevant Zenzic events
- Introductions to relevant parties within the connected and automated mobility ecosystem
- Promotion by Zenzic nationally and internationally
- Advice on commercialisation of any IP created that does not directly feed into future testbeds
