The AMN are interested in aligning CAM deployments with national and local public sector objectives. Members of the AMN have unparalleled knowledge of the opportunities and challenges involved in deploying CAM on UK roads from both an operational and commercial perspective.
The AMN want to ensure the impact of UK investment and policy activity is maximised and to work with government and industry to ensure their expertise is harnessed to ensure effective CAM deployment aligned with their shared objectives.
Their activity is divided across three distinct areas:
- Collaborate to Accelerate: Work together to promote learning in the CAM sector. Share, compile and disseminate best practice, lessons learned, analysis, insight, documentation, policies & processes, strategies, communications and wider sector insight between group members.
- Unify to Simplify: Develop consistency to reduce barriers to entry for all parties. Contribute to the setting of operational standards for services and products, including the following: optimum system / vehicle / service requirements, standards, expectations, specifications, tenders, access routes into public sector / buyers and estimating future demand.
- Vocalise to Optimise: Pro-active, purposeful engagement with the CAM ecosystem. Understand and represent the social good. Give support to key stakeholders including the following: standards & licensing bodies, DfT & CCAV, trade bodies, future funding proposals; upskill public sector in CAM technology.
