Freight and Logistics: a CAM perspective
Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) can have a significant impact on the freight and logistics industry and we are working with the industry to support them in the understanding of the adoption and impact to help accerlerate technology development and deployment. The freight and logistics industry is seen as possible early adopters of CAM to encoruage innovation and competitive advantages.
As a society, there is a need for collaboration between the CAM and logistics sectors to not only roll out seamless deliveries and new business models but also accelerate decarbonisation. For there to be a seamless automated delivery of goods, there needs to be an alignment between the willingness for collaboration, the means, and timing. Automated logistics journeys are similar to the electrification of transport.
While getting there may take some time, Zenzic works closely with the UK CAM community and logistics and automotive companies to encourage technology and business model development, as well as collaboration to ensure that the market is ready for the adoption of these technologies once the solutions are in place.
