Mapping the route to a connected and automated future

Zenzic was created to lead the move to a safer, more inclusive and productive mobile future. Mark Cracknell, Head of Technology, will outline how the UK will move towards a connected and automated future at the upcoming Microlise Transport Conference.

Europe’s largest road transport conference returns on 20 May at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry, and once again will provide delegates with access to a line-up of industry leaders and subject matter experts, covering the key issues of today and looking ahead to the future of connected and self-driving vehicles in the UK.

Zenzic enables, coordinates and facilitates, putting the UK at the centre of a transport revolution. Bringing together the three main forces of industry, government and academia to create a new, thriving and prosperous economy with a positive impact on society.

In his role as Head of Technology, Mark Cracknell leads the UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap that details developments from the present day to 2030. It presents a single vision that shows dependencies, focuses on investment and articulates the path to scale capabilities and technologies.

“As the road freight industry’s leading conference, I’m looking forward to engaging with delegates and providing a detailed view of the future in terms of how the UK can transition to a more connected and automated mobility future,” commented Cracknell. “Zenzic was created to bring together government, industry and academia and our work has been wide-ranging and all-encompassing as we map out the UK’s connected future. The next decade will see significant changes that will materially impact the transport environment, and I look forward to sharing our findings and the roadmap at this seminal event.”

The Microlise Transport Conference is a free-to-attend, one day conference that has grown over recent years, to become the largest event of its kind in Europe. It offers unrivalled access to industry leaders and experts, covering the key issues of today and tomorrow, along with four workshop programmes and an exhibition area featuring innovative industry organisations, bodies and suppliers.

“The Microlise Transport Conference has been a key date in the industry calendar for a number of years and we’re looking forward to delivering another fantastic programme at the 2020 event,” commented Nadeem Raza, Chief Executive Officer at Microlise. “Mark and Zenzic will be offering a view of the future that will help delegates understand the changes coming during the next decade and we’re delighted to have them on board.”
